On December 21, 2023, Skyline Industrial REIT purchased a multi-tenant industrial logistics and warehousing facility located at 1 High Plains Trail in Rocky View County (Balzac), Alberta. Completed in 2023, the building totals 414,459 square feet and is 100% leased to two high-value tenants, on long-term leases. "This acquisition signifies the REIT's second asset in Rocky View County (Balzac), Alberta, a market where we have witnessed tremendous tenant demand and are excited to expand our footprint,” said Mike Bonneveld, President, Skyline Industrial REIT. “We are very pleased with this acquisition as it perfectly supports and aligns with our acquisition strategy and adds a major asset to the portfolio." Skyline Industrial REIT first entered Rocky View County in October 2021 with the purchase of a new-build 150,000 square foot industrial warehouse. Post-acquisition, Skyline Industrial REIT comprises 50 properties in five provinces across Canada, with a total of 9,610,563 square feet of industrial space.
